From renowned educational psychologist, Robert Slavin, the Tenth Edition of this popular text translates theory into practices that teachers can use in their classrooms with deeper inquiry into the concept of intentionality and a thorough integration of standards.
This new edition highlights the most current issues and emerging trends in the field of educational psychology, while continuing to have in-depth, practical coverage with a focus on the intentional teacher. An “intentional teacher,” according to Slavin, is one who constantly reflects on his or her practice and makes instructional decisions based on a clear conception of how these practices affect students. To help readers become “intentional teachers,” the author offers a set of questions to guide them and models best practices through classroom examples.

Educational Psychology Pearson New International Edition Theory and Practice eBook Robert E Slavin Reviews
These pictures will be a future reference on the condition in which I received the item. On 8/28/18 I received the book, it is okay and readable. I am just showing the condition so when I return it they will see it is the same. Again not bashing just noting for future reference.
Why can't I see this garbage on my cloud reader from a computer?! I hate having to adjust it on my phone since it wont fit to the damn screen.
Glad I was required to take this course for my degree. This book includes what the title indicates and is a valuable tool for anyone in education. It also would be a good book for parents because of the stages that kids go through is explained..
I normally buy new books, so this is a new venture for me. This book arrived fairly quickly and I really appreciate that. However, it does bother me that there are highlights and dog-eared pages. This worries me because I don't want to be charged for something I did not do. I've never been one to highlight a book so I really don't like receiving a book that has so many. I do understand that comes along with the decision to rent a book but I was hoping for a newer one. This is the second time I've had to have this book for a different class so I did not feel like buying it again. I chose to rent it. I do not regret it but I doubt I will ever rent a book again. The book is an easy read for the most part.
Slavin's 9th edition is updated with recent educational psychology research and interesting practical applications for the research in the classroom. This text provides a broad range of educational research and synthesizes it for specific understanding in conceptual areas such as motivation, direct instruction, cognitive development and so on. Slavin goes through great effort to also interconnect the information between chapters and illuminates how the information relates to the teaching/teacher standards.
It takes a lot more than just lesson designing or making units for the classroom for students to be successful. Understanding how students think and learn is critical for student success. This book is a great resource for gaining knowledge of using best teaching practices. I used this book a lot each year of my teaching career. There are so many different types of students and it can be overwhelming. This book helps gives ease to help your students succeed.
