This new series is off to a great start. This first book is about a young rock star and a well known Hollywood actress. There's a difference in age between these two people but there is definitely chemistry that can't keep these 2 apart. Natalia is a famous actress who has been living her life base on the public persona that was cast on her. Her relationships are more for public appearances and it never works out personally. When she ends up dancing with Nick on the dance floor at a club, it feels like they have been doing it forever. Instant chemistry and totally hot. Natalie decides that they can only have a causal relationship (friends with benefits) and Nick decides to take her offer. Nick has had a crush on Natalia since he was a teen so to get to be around her is perfect. However, as their relationship progresses, true feelings are involved (from the beginning) and this scares Natalia.

It's a great story about 2 people who love each other but one of them has to get over the fears that their career will be ruin because of what the public's perception of them.

I have loved everything I have read by Laurelin Paige and Close is no different. Nick Ryder may be my favorite BBF right now. He is all swoony and sexy. He's a rockstar and 23 years old. Enter Natalia, 36 and an actress. The chemistry between them is off the charts and their romance so perfectly written!!
Great story, celebrities trying to have a relationship, without the press tearing them apart with bad publicity. Nick popular Rock star, accidentally runs into Natalia very beautiful actress. She has a bad habit of picking the wrong guys, an press is all over it. How can anyone have a successful relationship in today's world, when you are in the public eye, then throw in a few obstacles. This is a beautiful story, of two people, trusting in what they want, overlooking what others think. A Must Read!💞💓
This age gap romancer is a slim version of Robinne Lee’s beautifully written THE IDEA OF YOU, but with a different ending. Unlike that book, CLOSER boasts author Laurelin Paige’s trademark, appealing writing style but without the depth of story-line and character. As the first book in a 3 book series about the “Ryder brothers” set in the music world, ex-boy band singer turned rocker NICK RYDER (23) meets and begins a no strings affair with famous actress NATALIA LOWEN (36). She’s fresh off a scandalous breakup with a fellow actor and is as careful as ever about protecting her “America’s sweetheart” rep. Being with Nick, even for “just sex” is risky and turns her world and feelings upside down. Still, both are willing … but there is that 13 year age difference.

As a huge fan of the author and the FIXED series, I haven’t loved her newer books as much as the ones that all radiate from the characters in Fixed. This is a short book and easily read with a pleasantly engaging style, but not much plot. That matters to me because I still love the way this author writes. But, it’s a slow slide to love with a few months of meet-ups while Nick’s on tour held together by his maturity for one his age, and her being the skittish one. Mostly, all talk and sex. Romantic yes, but the sex scenes (while adequate) read like rote copies of a thousand ones you’ve read before by authors who all seem to write exactly the same scenes exactly the same way with the same words. I’m getting bored with the unoriginality. And I know it’s possible to write fresher scenes because some authors manage to do so. And it's a problem for a book that relies heavily on sex scenes. There’s nothing new here and every step of the way is predictable. Had a bit of knee-jerk reaction to the way she responded to the bold and intimate way that Nick finally revealed his feelings for her in that she decided to break it off and give him access to her bootay first access as a parting gift. Really? I guess nothing says “I love you” like that …

Didn’t hate it; didn’t love it. The only thing it has on the Robbine Lee book is an HEA, and briefly this book seemed to follow exactly the same course. Hmmmm, a bit imitative I think. The words “close” and “closer” and music imagery figured prominently in the story and were woven throughout the romance very well, but it always felt more like a story than a fleshed out novel. I’d read it again if I was in the mood and wasn’t eager to read anything else. My love for the author remains intact, however, and I look forward to her next book.

The rockstar and the Hollywood Princess, two complete opposites in everyday life with work and pleasure but the chemistry between them is undeniable and all consuming. It was meant to be no strings and no feelings, just a good time between the sheets. When the strings and feelings become a reality will The Rockstar win the heart of the People’s Princess or will fear and image put an end to everything? I guess your just going to have to read it to find out.

Another fun and flirty read that will have you all hot and bothered with every turn of the page. All the sexiness we want and enjoy in Laurelin’s books is there with a great storyline that leaves you breathless and a hot mess.

Who doesn't love a great age-gap story? Well this one is even better because Natalia is older than Nick. AND HE IS A ROCKSTAR!!! It definitely starts my fantasies to go into overdrive.

I love the slow burn of this story too. The first touches, kisses, making out - which is sometimes forgotten in romance stories.

This book has rocked my world in the best way possible. I can't wait to read the next story in this series.
